Tons of fun!

Ok, so super busy July is almost over! Let's do a recap, shall we?

Chrissy has turned into quite the little artist. For now it's just the demand and NEED to draw that literally screams out of her, but I secretly enjoy it when she just HAS to draw :)

We went to North Carolina to visit Sam and Lashun... I mean Sam and Namera, that's what she prefers to go by now :) We tried to experience fire works, but a huge tree was in the way. We still had tons of fun!

We went blueberry picking with my mother-in-law. The kids liked it, but I found out that Chrissy doesn't really like blueberries. That's okay, that just means more for me!

The boys had a dental check up and Chrissy did too! It was her very first and she was awesome... in fact, a little too awesome. She didn't even blink.

Tripp was none too happy about his visit though.

We also went to my family reunion up in north Georgia. I love my reunion. I wish I didn't wait till once a year to visit, so I plan on taking a few trips between now and next year, so that I can get some good practice in with my card partner. My cousins and I always get together after the eating is done and play Rook. Ever played that game before. I've played it ever since I was a little girl, and sat at the table with the adults. I guess I was pretty good since they never told me to go away, ha ha.

Erick is riding on the same horse that I rode on when I was younger, isn't that awesome?

And last but certainly not least, I've been getting my craft on!!
I've gotten all these ideas from somewhere else, so if you are interested in having that info, just let me know. I'm nursing and typing at the same time and I don't feel like adding the links right now :)

This first one is a little booklet that should help Erick with his phonics, but mainly rhyming.
He's had such a time
learning his rhyme,
but soon he'll see
he can do it with ease.

Next I bought some letters at the craft store and fancied them up with yarn and a twisted flower-just needs the green felt leaves, but I ran out of green felt, ha. These will hang in their room. I'll be doing something different for the boys.

This is the material needed to make a belt that Tripp desperately needed.

He likes it too :)

And this is of my own design. The handle on this car seat really needed something to make it not look so pitiful. The plastic on the handle was having some kind of weird reaction to.... I have no idea, but you could stick your finger through it. Yeah, gross. So I added some duct tape, but it still needed some aesthetic to make it nice, so I sewed this baby on by hand and it works great!
