Sleepy Heads

So, you know when you're rocking a baby, well a toddler really, and you get interested in one of the blogs that you've been reading and the rocking... slows... down. Then they start to rock on their own to kick start you back into rocking them. It's pretty cute. Chrissy had an ear infection, and was being really whinny and very bratty. Figured out the problem, got her on some meds, and she started being funny/sweet Chrissy again. Well not this morning. She is trying to find a way to physically attach herself to me so that I can't keep putting her down. It's so frustrating and tiresome. And I'm already holding a baby! But, as I'm sitting here writing this and rocking her, I look down and see that she's fallen asleep- mystery solved.

Recycled magazine baskets

I decided to organize a little and de-clutter as much as possible, so I made baskets out of old magazines. I got the tutorial from this awesome little blog and decided to give it a shot. My basket-weaving skills leave a little to be desired, but hey- it got done in one day. If it had taken two, I wouldn't have finished :( But I made two baskets, one reddish and one yellowish. The small, red one is for remote controls and the bigger, yellow one is for video controllers. Awesomeness. Now I need to focus on the rest of the living room, ha ha.
