"Tee" time and taxes

Yeah! I filed our taxes last night. I'm so glad that it is done and out of the way. And I'm happy with the results, I guess that's the most important part. Anyway, my pregnancy ticker says that I have 30 days to go, but I'm hoping it's a little sooner. I am pretty uncomfortable, and for those who know me, I can't ever wait to open my presents. I have to open them early, but I guess Tripp is a different kind of gift. He probably needs these last weeks, you know, to finish forming properly and all. Erick constantly surprises me. He says "Momma" perfectly clear, when he wants something really bad. Every time we leave from a friend's house, he has a new toy. We try to stop them, because it's only to make him stop whining, but he stops as soon as we get to the car. He has so many little cars because of that. So now Adam and I are a little firmer with our friends about "giving in". He really like "Go Diego, Go". He yells and laughs through the theme song, I can't tell if he is trying to sing a long or what. It's pretty funny though. I think that I've burned him out of frozen waffles. He used to eat two every morning. Now he barely eats one, and only if it's blueberry. I'm catching on though. I can't wait for him to start talking. I want to know what his voice is going to sound like, and I'm sure I will get tired of it just as fast, but I'd much rather communicate with actual words than with grunts, cries, weird noises, and gibber-jabber. He's a smart little stinker though. He understands pretty much everything I ask or tell him to do. He probably thinks I'm the dumb one for not understanding him. I think potty-training is going to start soon. He has told me a few times now that he has pooh in his diaper, so I'm thinking in several months, after Tripp is born, we'll work on it. I'm not going to rush it though. Why make it harder for me? It's easier to change a diaper than to clean up... well, anything could happen with training pants.

Nobody knows it like Mr. T

I am feeling very pregnant right now. This morning I was in a very light dream-state and I dreamed about a toddler rolling around in my belly. Yeah, I'd say I'm ready, but I have at least another month. I've resorted to giving Erick suckers and cheese nips to keep him happy, but it's kind of gross when he wants them at the same time, eww. I picked up Adam's car today from the shop. It only cost us about $500 dollars to fix the electrical problem, and it cost our insurance company about $800. So I'm not really complaining, because it has passed emissions and now we can get the tag for it. Adam's really happy too, because his sunroof is fixed. And let this be a lesson to all: Don't have your car parked next to a dead oak tree in a lightening storm, because it will mess up little computers. And just so you know, each computer costs about $500 a pop. So spend the money on cutting the tree down, because I'm sure it's cheaper in the long run. And you don't have to worry about it falling down later on top of the car you just fixed. We don't live in that place any more, put "I pity the fool" who parks under it.

Three hours

OK, so I got the dreaded news that I had failed the one hour GD test, that's gestational diabetes if you're wondering. So I had to make an appointment at the hospital and take the three hour GD test. I had gone to the temple the week before with Adam, and really felt good about the blessings that we received from going there. So I had to drink the really sugary orange stuff, and between the hours of blood-letting, I used my time wisely and went to the nursery and talked with a nurse there about their routines and procedures, breastfeeding policies, and etc. She was really cool, and it's one less thing I have to worry about. When I went back to the doctor's for my OB exam, he told me that I passed the 3-hour test, and I was very relieved, but I was kind of sure that I passed it anyway. If I had not passed, then I would have to go to Atlanta to see a specialist, and depending on how bad I had it, I would have to change my diet and possibly take insulin shots-YUCK! I hate needles, and I think that I did really well with getting my blood drawn 4 times in one morning, but I don't think that I would be able to shoot myself.

Happy New Year!

Last night was very cool. We were invited to a Murder Mystery Dinner. I was Hot Slot Sal and Adam was Security Sam. Too bad we don't have any pictures to put up here, because it was so much fun. Adam was so nervous that he was reading his character papers all night. I had to slip out of my own character to help him out, without learning too much information, because our characters weren't really supposed to like each other- we knew that the other was hiding a secret and we were going to blackmail each other. It was fun. It was a Vegas setting, with poker, cards, and slots. We had fake money to bribe people for information. It was a lot of fun. And then as the clock struck midnight, I laid a smooch on my hubby and toasted everyone with sparkling grape juice, that a friend thoughtfully gave us. It was pretty obvious that I didn't drink considering my belly size. I hope that everyone has a positive outlook on the New Year, as well as realistic goals, ha ha.
