1. Where did you meet your husband?
I met him through mutual friends of ours. It seems we had the same circle of friends, but never met. Finally Marie Holbrook hooked up a meeting for us at her parents house. It didn't go well, ha ha.
2. What was the first thing said?
This is why the first impression didn't go well. I hung out with the Leipold's and waited a little while,it was after church, for him to arrive. He and Marie's husband were going to play paint ball. He was pretty cute I guess and so I walked up to him and said, "Hi, I'm Eve." He said... "Nope, I don't know you". I thought okay, he's stuck up, and I said bye to everyone and left.
3. What was your first date?
We had gone on a couple of dates before I really liked him, and they weren't really all that special. Hey give me a break, I had just broken off an engagement. So I would say that our first REAL date was months later at Cochran's Mill Park, where we went hiking and held each other's hand.
4. How long did you date?
We dated for two months and then engaged for two more, so four total?
5. Where did you get engaged?
He took me back to Cochran's Mill and we sat on a rock in the middle of this little creek, he sang a song, which he never sings in public, and asked me to marry him. It was soooo sweet. Then we noticed that on a rock further down was a snake.... weird.
6. When did you know you loved each other?
He told me that he loved me a week after we started dating. That would usually scare anyone out of a relationship and I would have ran for the door, but it was my house that we were at. But it wasn't long after that when I knew I loved him too. It was probably around the first month when I was able to tell him back.
7. What does your ring look like?
It looks perfect. It's a band of princess cut diamonds divided into three sections by two rows of princess diamonds that run vertical with two at each end(4 total). I'll put a picture up.
8. Where did you get married?
Atlanta Georgia Temple
9. How did the reception go?
Great! I had it catered by Domino's Pizza and my friend made the cakes. Very simple and only cost us about $350.
10. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We took the rest of the money that we had saved and received as gifts to spend 3 days and 2 nights at a cabin in Helen, GA. It was so awesome! And nine months later we had Erick!
11. Do you have pet-names for each other?
He calls me Evers and Sweetness. I used to call him Bunny a lot, but mostly Honey now.
12. What's your favorite thing to do together?
Everything. We like hanging out with each other, whether it's alone or with other people, I have the most fun with him anyway.
13. Do you show affection for each other?
Yes, all the time, everywhere.
14. Do you have a song?
Yes, the song that he sang when he proposed. It's U2's "Running to Stand Still". It's in my play list and Adam has such a great voice.
15. Do you like pygmy goats or regular goats better?
Apparently pygmy goats are all that we have here in Georgia. Adam told me that the goats he had growing up in Idaho and Washington were twice as big as the ones we have here. I don't particularly have an opinion on it, except that I really like those
fainting goats. Now they're pretty funny!
